First time visiting to try the food at Coastal Cowboy. Settled with carne asada tacos which were delicious and lighter than the hamburger selections.
Meat was full and tacos are quite hearty. The carne asada is served in nice chunks and fill the warm-toasted tortillas; the onions, cilantro and sauce pairs well with the seasoned meat.
I chose the flour tortillas because sometimes corn can be dry and break. The side salad was just the right amount, and still filling.
The atmosphere is festive and active; could normally be loud for conversation but we were fortunate to have a corner booth, so noise was moderate.
Service is good, staff brought food quickly, but ahead of drinks, which are all ordered at the counter together. Seems like drinks could (and should) be delivered first. The beer (a red Irish ale) was not as cold as would have been expected; perhaps it was awaiting delivery and came a while after the food, so I had to wait for the drinks to begin eating.
Parking can be difficult in the downtown area, even on a Thursday night. Prices are fairly reasonable for the beach.

Came here today for the first time and I will absolutely be coming back!! It’s so rare to find a gluten free fish and chips and it was delicious. My fiance had the cali brisket cheesesteak and said it was delicious. Love that the fries are fried in beef tallow. Definitely worth a drive to check it out!

Finally a restaurant that offers a variety of gluten free items! I have a wheat allergy and it’s hard finding restaurants that have GF options. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the GF fish and chips…. absolutely delicious.
**You can order any sandwich/burger and sub for a GF bun.
The GF chicken tendies and fries were good too- my daughter loved them. Can’t wait to try a burger and salad next time! Highly recommend this place! They have a full bar and ALL the Happy Dad seltzer flavors! :) Affordable/reasonable menu prices and great service.

Great health food options. No seed oils, stainless drinking cups and beef tallow for frying. Also so many gluten free options! I’d like the fries to be a little more crispy and the fish seasoned before breading and frying on the fish and chips, the double smash burger was delicious!

We were a large group and visiting after a day trip to the beach. Part of our family reunion is to enjoy a local eats. The food and presentation were awesome. The fish tacos were hot, crisp and fresh. I had a craving for fish tacos and these didn’t hit the mark. They were bland. However, I sampled other family members’ food and the carrots were delicious and tallow fries had a umami taste.
