Fantastic food in a fun environment. Outside seating was great, and our server had good recommendations. Drinks were delicious. Our table had guacamole salsa and chips to start, and our entrees were chicken & cheese enchiladas (the Verde sauce was excellent), tacos - carnitas and brisket (to die for) with calabacitas instead of rice and beans, and the catch of the day. Everything was fantastic!
I ordered the carnitas tacos, with beans and rice. Wife got the chicken flautas. For the chips and salsa at the beginning, you could taster the burnt oil on the chips - not good Tacos were okay, but my entire meal was luke warm ( and we got here right when they opened, so it should have been fresh) The flautas were not crunchy, they were soft and flaky - they should definitely be crunchy. Overall, just a very underwhelming experience. Second time here, won't be coming back. Let me summarize this way: we ALWAYS get a to-go box for leftovers... but not this time. But on a positive note, the prices were fair.
Fun environment with daily specials. The fish was perfectly cooked with a nice crispy top full of flavor. The crab and shrimp enchiladas were filled well and did not taste artificial (real crab is always a plus). The sangria was good and not overly sweet. You also get a hefty pile of fresh chips to enjoy while you wait for your meal. Will definitely eat here again.
Absolutely awful meal on Sunday, October 19th. Ran out of usual fish and served Branzino. Cooked horribly, sloppy and tasted like soil or dirt. The short ribs used to be amazing, but they were dreadful. The sauce was over cooked, therefore way too heavy, too many onions, and definitely not the usual quality. Service was rough as it looked like there weren’t enough staff to assist all tables. Come here to enjoy a meal usually, but we certainly won’t be coming back. Your chips and salsa, best thing we ordered and it’s not cheap for six people with your automatic gratuity.
Ordered the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas and they were some of the best enchiladas I’ve ever tasted. Service was attentive and friendly, will definitely be coming back!
