Poor Service Experience - Not Recommended I cannot recommend this establishment based on my recent experience with emissions testing and repairs. Initial Visit: I brought my vehicle in for a smog test, which it failed. The technician reset the diagnostic codes and instructed me to add Seafoam to my fuel tank and drive 75-100 miles before returning. Unfortunately, the check engine light reappeared after only 20 miles of driving. Diagnosis and Repair: Upon my return, I was told to leave the vehicle for diagnosis. The shop determined that the catalytic converter needed replacement. When I asked for assurance that this repair would resolve the emissions issue, I was told there was a 99% certainty it would pass the smog test. Based on this confidence, I approved the $3,000 repair. Ongoing Issues: Disappointingly, the check engine light returned within 10 miles of leaving the shop after the completed repair. When I brought the vehicle back, the staff could not explain why the problem persisted. After leaving my car for an additional extended period (10 days total), I ultimately decided to seek service elsewhere. Overall Assessment: The lack of accurate diagnosis, failure to resolve the issue despite expensive repairs, and inability to explain the recurring problem made for an extremely frustrating experience. I would recommend exploring other automotive service options.
Bought a car out of state so had to get it smogged. Capo had a fair price, no wait, cool guy. Seems like good prices for oil changes also. I recommend.
Called yesterday for a smog certification. Went down and Ray took care of it in 15 minutes. Great guy and fair price. Super nice ,will use again .
Been going to this place for over 10 years. Ray at Capo Valley is def a mechanic my family and I trust. He’s worked on all the BMWs I’ve had over the years and even a classic Mercedes I’ve owned. His prices are very fair, his work is honest and professional and he knows German cars. If you’re looking for routine maintance or a specific repair, this is the place without a doubt.
Stay away from this place!. Charged me $125 to scan a code I've already pointed out. Charged me 2x the price of a part, but worse, not an OEM but a "made in china" one. Plus, overtimed labor for a simple sensor change. And finally, $100 bill missing after delivering the car, they blamed on the tow driver.
