Our family have brought our vehicles to CAARs for over a decade and they do a great job. It's always a vulnerable feeling for me to take a car to a mechanic, since I never know if I am being taken advantage of. The owner and mechanics at CAARS are honest and always look out for our best interest. We have also had them inspect used cars for us prior to making a decision whether to make the purchase and they have always steered us right.
Caars is a great place to go! I’ve brought my suv and fiancés truck here for alignments and they get it spot on every time. I also love that you can grab food and beer next door or walk the trail while you wait. The mechanics have always been very been good with communicating what is going on and what further service may be needed without trying to nickel and dime me! 10/10 for service and location!
I took my Toyota Tacoma to CAARS for an oil change which was reasonably priced. They thoroughly checked the truck for any issues, and I was in and out quickly with an appointment. I would recommend them.
Great service very professional, friendly, honest, straight forward & cost competitive. I will return for future vehicle services as I was searching for a reliable trustworthy auto repair shop to replace a previous 20+yr long standing relationship & mutual loyalty with a local one here in San Clemente. As it no longer lived up to or meets expectations across numerous instances for a variety of reasons since changing ownership in '20-'21 when the original owners Jay/Tara retired. Namely, Jay's Car Repair (Dominic Cesare owner) under his new ownership has completely failed follow through on his commitments and/or meet customer service expectations with repeated combative, erratic, untrustworthy agressive behavior. Loved my experience at caars! I had a pretty bad misalignment on my truck when I bought it, had tried to get it aligned at another shop and they said that they “just couldn’t get it right”. The guys at caars got it right pretty quickly and explained to me what the dealership had done. I also was able to get an appt the next day which was awesome!
