And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
A little busy but the food and drinks were very good. Probably recommend to come for lunch since the wait for a larger group after 7pm on a weekend can be up to 45 minutes. Recommend the pork spring rolls and the salmon. That Elysian beer was bomb, definitely will try the bottled Vietnamese beers next time.
My partner took me here for my birthday. The service is amazing. Fast, efficient and polite! The food is very good, and the portions are just right. It is a little noisy but as expected since the restaurant is very popular! The bakery/dessert area is my favorite. 😊
Every time we vist California, we come here first before heading to our hotel. Sometimes we come here on the last day before we return home. Their salad roll is called spring roll, and their spring roll is called egg roll. Don't get it wrong! 😅. This time we came with a group of 10 ppl cause my brother in law and his family is visiting us in Vancouver, BC for the holidays. His kids never been to Disneyland. They don't offer Wifi here 🤷♂️😩. Just remember, if you are in a group of 6 or more, they auto add th3 gratuity of 15%. They don't tell you this so make sure you double check your receipt. Overall, the food is great hence the 5 stars overall. Our meal came to $265 USD, that's like $380 CAD for us. Back home we can get a great Vietnamese meal of 10 ppl for $250 CAD or less. We love our vietnamese food so we will always find a vietnamese restaurant everywhere we travel.
We strolled into Brodard Restaurant in Fountain Valley on a Tuesday afternoon around 4pm and were seated immediately with no wait time. We were told that this restaurant is an Orange County classic and is usually very busy and making reservations is highly recommended. This restaurant serves modern Vietnamese cuisine with Asian Fusion. This is not the typical Vietnamese restaurant as it doesn’t even offer Pho in their menu. They are known for their nem nuong cuon (grilled pork spring rolls) which has grilled pork wrapped in rice paper with crispy roll, lettuce, cilantro, chives, daikon carrot & cucumber served with their signature house dipping sauce (nuoc mam). This renowned appetizer has the varied texture of chewy, crunch, savory and tender all at the same time. While the spring rolls were good but we were expecting more. The cured pork (nem) tasted bland and the rice wrapper tasted a bit rubbery (sitting out too long, perhaps) and the chives inside the spring rolls didn’t bring the aromatic flavors. In short, we had better nem nuong spring rolls in San Diego. We ordered Hue style spicy beef noodle soup, wonton noodle soup with rice noodles and chicken porridge with salad. They were good and adequate but nothing stands out. For drinks, we ordered iced Vietnamese coffee and it was concentrated, strong, slightly bitter but sweetened by the condensed milk, sugar cane juice and passion fruit drink. Sugar cane drink was ok and not the traditional pure sugar cane. It was more or less on the tarty side.Waitstaff was efficient, fast, attentive and friendly and checked in on us and filled our waters. Restaurant has an upscale setting, tons of tables and is very spacious and perfect for large gatherings. They have a nice bakery section at the front so you can see the baked good you can have after your meal. The food is a little on the pricey side and portion is average. Dishes are average and their menu is extensive. After our meal, we walked over to the in-house baker and got macarons and our favorite was the salty caramel and coconut.
So pleased to find this place. I love everything about this place, so much to choose from and the best tasting food in a while. Service is quick, the lady takes the order, if you know what you want, you don’t need to see the menu. There’s a huge line up, so be prepared to wait, but I tell you, it’s worth the wait. Highly recommended! Check it out!
