Prices are high portions are small and the food is awful. The brisket was dry, tritip I couldn't even chew and the pork belly wait more like 2 pieces of bacon cut up. I really like this place and the owner but I've tried to give them a shot more than once thinking maybe it was just an off day but nope it's just the way it is. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!
This is a small place and feels cramped. They bring the food and drinks to the table, but if you want straws they will tell you they're right on the wall, while standing right by them. Their greetings should be welcoming, but instead it feels cold. They play music and one song I heard was completely inappropriate, talking about his graphic sexual exploits with women and what he does with them. The food is fair, but my tri tip was on the very well done side which made it feel more like beef jerky. Other dishes like the brisket are delicious and their sides, coconut cream corn are also delicious. Overall I can only give three stars compared to other bbq places. Shrinkflation is real. Two photos, one with normal proportions and the other half the quantity.
I really wanted to like this place, friendly staff, cute little store front but the food was just awful. I had the tri-tip, brisket, and pulled pork with the Mac and cheese and potato salad. All three meats were tasteless and reheated poorly. The pulled pork was half fat, half meat. They chopped the tri-tip into little strips for some reason maybe to try and hide the fact it was like shoe leather? The brisket wasn't chopped it was cubed and looked like marinated chicken and tasted like nothing. The pulled pork I tried to eat around the fat but gave up, if I didn't put sauce on it I wouldn't have known what I was eating. If you want bad BBQ that actually tastes like it's BBQ then just save your time and go to Lucille's.
The prices at extremely high for the portion. I ordered the 2 meat combo for my husband and I. Both got brisket and paid extra for trip-tip. The tri-tip was hard (not tender at all) and the brisket was ALL FAT!! Macaroni and cheese was dry and mushy noodles. Horrible experience!
Good BBQ. Food could have been fresher & hotter. The home-made root beer was delicious. The staff was super friendly. We were not crazy about the containers in which the food was served-the paper at the bottom can tear apart and end up as part of what you eat. The cornbread is very good.
