First Time here—hard place to find. It’s walk up order—kiosk or possible counter if someone’s available. I got the Chicken Tenders Meal—comes with toast and one dipping sauce (any extra sauce is charged and they said it’s different charge for different sauces). Tenders are HUGE and good—I got medium spice —they said it’s with cayenne. I got the Vinegar Slaw for $1.49 extra—see the small container in photos—it’s OK—don’t recommend. Hot Honey Sauce was OK—just honey with red pepper flakes added…The house sauce (Come Back Sauce) was tasty. Jose was friendly and helpful in getting my order. Thank you Jose! I took my food into the small mall area next door and sat in the courtyard—much better than the small inside seating at the restaurant with LOUD Club Music (love that music, just not when in a small place trying to eat). They have two levels of Spicy above medium-so if you want spicy chicken—def give this place a try. Meat is fresh and tasty.
Our new favorite hot chicken spot!! It is very easy to find, once you’ve parked at the Lab Anti-Mall parking lot. We got lucky and parked right next to Bred. Have you ever moved states and lost your beloved and favorite food spots? We have and it sucked. UNTIL we found Bred Hot Chicken. A place can have amazing food. But I believe that it’s truly special when the food it amazing, the customer service is exceptional, and the environment is full of life (yet not too loud). Bred is THAT place. A place with great mac and cheese, tenders and waffles, sauce, sandwiches, and homemade drinks. I had the tenders and waffles (mild) with the comeback sauce and mac and cheese. My drink was the strawberry sqweezy. All amazing. My husband had THE big o’ sandwich (spicy), fries, spicy comeback sauce and a beer. He LOVED it. Scott and Laura helped us out, and you could truly tell how much they care about the place and their customers by their interactions. We will definitely be back for some more of their great food!
OMG! Now this was the best chicken and waffle I've ever had!!! The waffle was slightly sweet with a delicate crunch on the outside and so soft and perfect on the inside. No need for syrup unless you want to! It comes with two pieces of chicken and the four pieces of the fluffy waffle. I had no idea how big the chicken was, so I added and additional piece for $4 extra, which I didn't need and couldn't finish. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and again large pieces, crispy on the outside and juicy and tender in the inside!
Amazing experience overall with the food, service, and atmosphere of the restaurant. Crispy fries that were perfectly salted and warm. A HUGE chicken sandwich that included 3 big pieces of juicy chicken tenders, and even a complimentary cup for water that I didn’t ask for. I appreciate that the young lady who was working tonight was tentatively caring of the orders and keeping the dining room stocked and clean. If I lived in Costa Mesa I would come here WEEKLY because of how generously filling and awesome friendly service the entire experience was. Tik Tok led me to you folks and I’m glad I took the chance.
Bred Hot Chicken is by far the best chicken restaurant I’ve been to in a hot minute. I ordered the Chick N’ Waffles with a Strawberry Squeezee & was so impressed with how good everything was separately & together. The chicken is so juicy and flavorful, and the heat is immaculate & the belgian waffle was so fluffy and done perfectly - I’m not embellishing, it’s actually that good lol. Not to be dramatic, but I don’t think I can eat chicken from anywhere else now… I literally just placed another order for tonight’s dinner just before this review, they’re **that** good.
