Good selection of beers. Didn't get far on the first beer before our salads and sandwiches arrived. The staff here is so friendly and awesome. When we weren't sure what to drink they offered samples. Great sense of humor all around. We enjoyed ourselves enough to have a second beer. So nice to have a place without all the complications of "building" your lunch. They have several signature sammies that fit nearly everyone. Great casual atmosphere but you can dress up and bring your date to a high top table or sit at the bar. Good fun!

As an out-of-towner and a first-timer, I had a fantastic experience here. Easy access in and out of the parking area. Lively, casual, indoor atmosphere. The service was outstanding—staff were attentive and answered my menu questions with patience, providing excellent recommendations.
We both ordered sandwiches off the grill. I opted for the Left Coast Pastrami sandwich, and it was perfect—fresh bread, generous portions of pastrami, and absolutely delicious! Good value for the portions. We enjoyed our meal on the patio on a beautiful day. If I lived in Costa Mesa, I would definitely be a regular at Board & Brew.

2nd trip / 5 month update: Italian sub good. $4 16oz pour, better. All 16oz beers $4 or $5 which is great around O.C.
First trip:
My experience here was great, powered by GREAT service. Candice A answered a bunch of first timer questions and was just pleasant in a world of unhappy humans.
Grabbed a Left Coast Pastrami with secret sauce and it was what I would expect. Good bread, descent ratio of pastrami, warmed up and delicious.
Sat at the bar and enjoyed great conversations and service from Ricky. 12 beers/seltzer on tap. 10 other canned beer/wine. 3 TVs across the restaurant. They try to always have games going worth watching. Sure they would throw your favorite on if you ask.
Will definitely return.
Maybe you should ask if they have a secret menu.

Order the Baja Beef sandwich, the bouquet is crispy and the meat is very well seasoned. More than my expectation for the sandwich, definitely will come back to try other options.
Plenty of parkings spaces, friendly staffs and nice service.

Parking between board and brew and Starbucks is very scarce. Food is decent (ordered the tub o tuna) was a little too sloppy for my liking. Needs a better tuna to bread ratio. Bread got soggy within minutes of picking up my order. Employee that cashed me out not very welcoming either.
