Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
Came by Beach Hut Deli today for the first time not knowing what to expect and wow, these sandwiches were huge. I ordered the Pig Kahuna and they packed so much pork and pineapples it was worth the extra cost compared to a normal sandwich. The service was a bit slow but I forgave that once I saw the sandwich. Also each booth in the deli had a TV showing a basketball game which was great. I need to stop by again for sure. Definitely worth the visit.
I really want to love this place, and honestly, I do when it comes to the food itself. I'm gluten-free, and their GF bread is some of the best I've had. The sandwiches are always fresh and delicious, which is why I keep coming back. That said, the last two times I've gone, my order hasn't been followed correctly. The first time, I asked for no mustard, and my sandwich came loaded with mustard. This time, I asked for my sandwich to be toasted. The girl at the register even noted it on the order, but when my sandwich came out, it was cold. I debated saying anything but decided to mention it on my way out since it's happened twice in a row. The girl told me she saw it come out wrong, said she had entered it correctly, and then blamed her coworker (the same guy who messed up my last order) for not doing it. She asked if I wanted some toasted bread instead, but I had already eaten my sandwich. What bothered me most was that her reaction was completely unphased. She didn't apologize or take any ownership, just shrugged it off. As someone who manages a business myself, if you know an order is wrong, you fix it before handing it off to the customer. The food deserves five stars, but the service and lack of care bring it down to two. Hopefully management addresses it because it's disappointing to see the same mistake happen twice with no effort to make it right.
The food here is always fantastic anytime I have ordered. Fresh ingredients and a lot of food for your money. I was extremely disappointed when I went to get food there tonight and as I walked up I saw an employee walk to close and lock the door. It was 6:40 and according to their hours they are open for another 20minutes. As I reached the door the employee signed a peace and walked away without any explanation. There was no signage indicating an early closing time. It felt rude and unwelcoming, not to mention a little confusing. Otherwise a great place to get a sandwich but be wary of potential inaccurate store hours or employees eager to leave early
Very clean and laid back facility with sandwiches and alcohol to watch a game, or two. The food was fresh and the gentleman who took our order was friendly and attentive. I also like the garlic infused into the sourdough bread, which adds an extra touch to your sandwich. The sandwich was so fresh and good I forgot to take a picture. There is always next time. They have found a regular customer. Bathrooms on premises and free parking.
Always a great place for a sandwich and a beer! Friendly service and good eats. I will say their prices are getting quite high, but what isn’t. $25 for a regular sized sandwich and a beer. They do have happy hour specials though!
