Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
So disappointed in the portion sizes. I feel like I just spent $20 on rice. There was SO MICH rice and hardly any protein. The katsu was so thin and the ribs were mostly gristle with very little meat. The beef short ribs combined probably wouldn’t make one, they put the biggest one on top and then two bones with not even a bite of meat underneath. It’s just so disappointing because I had read in the reviews that the portion sizes were generous. The reviews should say that the rice portion size was generous. Staff was great and the restaurant is small, no complaints about either of those. Just the price you pay and what you get are so disappointing. I was looking forward to this place too because I prefer supporting local businesses and not big chains.
The service could be better with a smile but the food was great. I ordered the loco moco and flavor was good along with the portion.
Their interior reminds me of Hawaii. The food was really good but wish they gave us more portion. I’d love to visit again though
BBQ beef plate was excellent. Had the plate for here. Good portions and good quality protein. The mac/potato salad was excellent. I will be back!
Had the Hawaiian Beef burger with cheese which was not bad, it required the pineapple to be grilled longer, cheese melted and a bit more seasoning on the beef patty. Also, had the bbq beef plate which was a 6.5 out of 10 in taste and preparation. The customer service could be a little better as I also experienced that the female cashier was just going through the motions but could show a smile or at least a small lift in attitude. Not sure if I’ll return but the place appear to have regulars come in.
