Food was very plain not all that & Nothing to brag about Especially for the price... $65. For starters what's up with the fresh spinach & The sweet sauce on it & The BBQ Beef was so sweet My Mom couldn't eat & it Not to mention it was old, It was not at all freshly made & Mac salad was dry & To much mayo, The Ahi is what I had, it was ok, But nothing like Hawaii, The name should have 714 Rather than 808. My Wife Had Kalbi which was passable but small portion... I have the habit of finding places of interest to go to & Found that this was a waste of time & money sorry to say... 🙂↕️
Nice hole in the wall spot with excellent food. Be prepared to wait as it’s a small team and everything is made to order fresh. Some of the best musubi’s I’ve had in socal. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a new lunch spot!
Honestly, the food was just okay. I ordered the chicken katsu plate, which comes with macaroni salad, spinach, and a side of spam musubi. The chicken katsu looked and tasted more like pork, the macaroni salad was overwhelmingly mayo-heavy, and the spinach was pretty basic. Overall, it’s not something I would order again.
808 Local Hawaiian offers some of the best authentic Hawaiian BBQ I have ever tried. I ordered the Ani platter - beef rib, kalua pork, BBQ chicken, rice and mac salad. The pork and rib were both excellent, popping with flavor. However, the BBQ was the star of the show. Cooked directly over an open flame, you could taste the char beautifully, and the chew was amazing. We also ordered the hot dog and egg musubi, which was also delectable. My partner ordered the poke plate, and though still very good, both marinades were on the sweeter side and the fish had a decent bit of membrane to chew through. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone on the hunt for a hearty and delicious meal in Anaheim. We will be back!
I got the beef kalbi. It was more on the chewy side. I think they have better options here than what I picked. The spinach salad was good, the dressing on it was delicious. And the rice and greens were very fresh. I’d come back just try other stuff on their menu. Good price and service.
