Our room had a nice view of the ocean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Dana point is located in a great location, near San Juan Capistrano Mission L, outlet mall and of course the beach. We really appreciate the hospitality, restaurant/food and nice bar for relaxing. It was perfect.

I really have nothing but great things to say about this property. They were truly lifesavers for my family and I. Very long story short: the day before my wedding, on the drive up to San Clemente, the initial property we had booked with called and told us they had to move us to a different hotel. Garden Inn handled the issue and transition, finding 7+ rooms for us seamlessly. They gave my husband and I a very nice suite and all the others in our party had very nice rooms as well. They discounted parking for us and didn't charge us the difference for the rooms. Our room was massive, having a separate bedroom, large living room and huge bathroom with tub and shower. There was also a cozy fireplace and two balconies with beautiful views of the water. The property is very clean and nicely maintained. There are two lounge areas that are accessible to guests with great sunset views. They also have a bar and restaurant. I highly recommend this property to anyone searching in the area.

My husband and I had an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish at this hotel. After a seven-hour drive, we arrived at 3:50 PM to check in and were told we would not be allowed to check in until exactly 4:00 PM, just ten minutes later. There was no flexibility or courtesy extended, even after a long day of travel. We were also surprised to learn they charge $50 per night simply to keep your car on the property, even for self parking. To make matters worse, we called room service to request washcloths so we could quickly shower and make it to a wedding event. The washcloths were never delivered, and we were later told they were unable to get ahold of the staff. The rooms were also not clean, we had stained sheets and the toilets were very dirty. Overall, the lack of accommodation, communication, and basic service made this a very frustrating and unpleasant stay.

The staff was really nice, got me a free upgrade with partial ocean view in a ADA room. That is something that should be disclosed to make sure you want that type of room, but it worked for me. Room is very spacious and loved relaxing on the balcony. Looks renovated. Garage feels safe and ample parking. Can only exit one way out of the hotel. Moved to another room the same day because there was loud running around and constant noise above me. Called the front desk and got switched to another room easily. Someone from valet was nice enough to come up and bring me my new room keys instead of me having to go back down to the front desk. Rooftop lounge is nice. I loved walking around across the street. I would stay here again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had an excellent lunch at the Hilton Garden Inn Dana Point Doheny Beach. I ordered the chicken and rice bowl and it was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Our server Tammy was outstanding — super friendly and attentive. Huge thanks to Chef Chris as well, you can tell he takes pride in every dish. What really stood out was how welcoming the whole staff was. They even offered my service animal water and snacks without me having to ask, which I really appreciated. Great food, great service, and a genuinely warm atmosphere. Definitely coming back.
