Solid 4 all around...We had the Red Mole Chicken Plate and the Mole Enchiladas. The Mole is better than most places around. My wife thought it was more spicy than sweet. The tortillas were handmade and the rice was great with the mole. I thought the refried beans were not very flavorful and charging $3 for chips was new to me, especially since they cut them in strips making them less ideal for dipping... honestly my opinion is so you eat less of them. Honestly they tasted like bagged chip strips from Smart & Final. Presentation was solid and the service was good...Only complaint was the chairs inside sat really upright and the posts for the front legs dug into your legs. I'd come back for sure. The interior was a modern good looking experience with cool lighting and an open kitchen with windows where you could see them cooking.
The food was great, and the service was amazing! It is a family owned restaurant and they are all wonderful. We booked the private room in advance, so we didn’t have a wait time. Everyone enjoyed their meals! A lot of our party ordered agua chile and they loved it. My aunt ordered chicken soap and it was the best one she’s ever had and she is very particular.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sabroso Mexican Grill, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure every need was met. But what really stole the show was the incredible authentic mexican dishes and also some fusion food. Each dish was crafted with love and care, bursting with authentic Mexican flavors that left me wanting more. From the vibrant atmosphere to the outstanding cuisine, this place is a must-visit for anyone craving genuine Mexican hospitality and delicious meals. Highly recommended! Food was excellent. Staff was awesome. Went to eat here before heading back home from Disneyland. Been here 3 times before. Definitely will continue to come by hear to eat when in the Anaheim area.
First time I came to Sabroso was in the old location, many years ago. Very underwhelming and over priced. Thought it was a fluke since it came recommended. Gave it a shot a few weeks ago, and again falls flat. When I came a couple weeks ago, around noon, they had no iced tea. Interesting. Bartender said they forgot to brew it. No comment. $3 salsa on the menu. Not complimentary. Already a bad sign. The $25 carnitas. Really? $25 and doesn't include chips and salsa? The carnitas, were surprisingly very moist. But extremely bland and had no flavor. Worst than pork roast. And the portions were small. The tortillas were delicious. Rice n beans were nothing special. And the guacamole seemed like just smashed avocado. I was told they were once feature on the Food Network. Not sure how or why. Wannabe "celebrity" prices for sub-par food. Don't get me wrong, the carnitas were very moist, which was nice but just void of any flavor and the outrageous price for the quality and portions make it hilarious. Sabrosada, and Castaneda's and of course Los Sanchez(just down the street) are all better bets
