Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
Updated for Second time visiting. food quality and service was as good as the first. Black cod was cooked perfectly, flaky and seasoned well. Starter of grilled avocado was exceptional. Will be back . Great lunch experience just off the circle in orange. Classy but casual vibe, service from the minute we walked in was attentive and friendly. Great menu and all choices we made we’re tasty, clearly fresh ingredients and well seasoned/flavored. We each had a cup of the seafood chowder which had a great depth, not too creamy. Ahi Loki with taro chips was a great accompaniment. For mains I had the butternut squash tajine with salmon which was excellent. Salmon was cooked perfectly and the butternut/ bean sauce was slightly spiced with great flavors. Highly recommend.
Wonderful experience with fabulous seafood. We were seated over an hour late, but it was because of a giant trade show in town and all parties in the first seating arriving late. The host did the best he could to get our party of 8 to the table as soon as possible. Every dish was delicious. The black cod special was amazing! The fish & chips were fabulous. Note: alcohol served is beer & wine only. No cocktails.
Very impressive seafood restaurant in the heart of oldtown orange. I'm not a huge seafood person myself, but I would eat here everyday happily. The fish here is prepared so well and is absolutely delicious. Lots of options and everything we had was just top tier. They also have a very extensive drinks menu and lots of local craft beers. Staff was also really good even though it was a really busy Saturday night. Can't wait to try this place again.
1 star for the atmosphere. 1 star for the service, and 1 star for the freshness of the food. However, the food was bland and mediocre, and portions were really small for the price we paid. I had high hopes for this place and had my Valentine's Day lunch here. We ordered 5 diahes. The oyster was very small. The cioppino was decent but the shrimp and fish in it were too tough and stringy. The dish of the day black cod was again small and the fish was so undercooked it was so watery. The ceviche was ok but again came with very little fish and chips. Lastly the salmon skin handroll the rice was undercooked and tasted like something you get at a convenience store. The restaurant wasn't even busy when we were there so we were really disappointed.
Went here a while ago for happy hour, so this is a belated review. The food is really nice. The oysters are great, and the octopus was one of my favorites. And don't forget the wine, never forget the wine, very very good! Service was really good and friendly as well. We will be back more often!
