First time at The Winery in Tustin was a fantastic experience. We started with the Fried Calamari which is made with Calamari Steak as opposed to the tentacles that you usually find at places. This kept the dish flavorful and crisp as opposed to chewy. The accompanying saffron sauce was delectable. Me and my wife split a 16oz NY Strip and 2 sides which were served family style. We had both the Mushroom Medley and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. The steak was cooked perfect all the way through. The service was next level without being overbearing which made the evening and experience that much better. If you are looking for a sophisticated location where you can have a nice date night and still catch the Dodgers playoff game, then this is the spot for you.
AMAZING!!!!....We went during the happy hour and for dinner. Everything was SO DELICOUS and the environment was great as well. Crystal our server was amazing, her service was great, answered all our questions and very personable made us feel really good. It was great I will for sure come back when I come back to So. Cal. Great job to all the staff.
I am a solo diner and chose to sit at the bar. Food? Fantastic. The bartender? From a service commitment no complaint. But…I had to endure a loud, insanely profane man at the bar dropping F-Bombs every three words. When interfacing with the bartender, the same, and the bartender failed to correct him or ask him to tone it down. This is an upscale establishment - not a Chilis. And to have to suffer through my entire meal in this atmosphere at this price point with no correction by the staff is, honestly, unacceptable. I am honestly speechless that this establishment tolerated this guttural conduct. If this is where The Winery is headed, it’s regrettable. Note, I did inform the bartender and the manager (always a pleasant man admittedly) about the experience. And note, I didn’t ask for a complimentary meal. I paid what I owed, left a zero dollar tip, and departed. Regrettably, just last night I was discussing with my assistant a 28-person dinner event at The Winery. No longer. I will shift my plans to Oliver’s Osteria Quail Hill.
Friday date night on a holiday weekend. Every member of the staff was super attentive. Felt like 5-star dining. Wines by the glass were extremely reasonably priced. Bar looked super fun. Menu was amazing - even a solid option for my vegetarian wife!
All around a great dining experience. Everyone was friendly and attentive. We mentioned it was our anniversary, and several staff members came by to congratulate us through the evening. Several great menu options, I went with the ribeye, which was cooked perfectly and covered in a delicious herb butter. The white cheddar Mac and cheese is incredible as well. Didn't feel rushed at all, plenty of time between courses. Can't say enough great things about this place.
