And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
My daughter and her friend were driving home for the holidays and her low oil light came on. She added a quart and stopped by to have them check for a leak. I spoke to the mechanic and he put the car on the lift and gave an honest report and with a nominal charge they were back on the road. Good to know there are still honest mechanics out there. Thank you Capistrano tire and brake.
On the whole I have had good experiences with Cap. T&B, until today. Unfortunately my years of patronage will come to an end. They accepted my 1993 Eurovan a week ago and let it sit in their parking lot without securing it or touching it. After several phone calls, they finally looked at it today and informed me the battery was gone, that I need to supply a battery, despite the fact they were delivered a van with a battery. They refused to take any responsibility for leaving the car unsecured after receiving it from the tow truck driver. Their only argument was that they were busy and couldn't look at it. I don't mind the waiting, I do not securing my vehicle. Granted, I became increasingly upset as the manager, Javier (generally an amiable guy), refused to let me finish a sentence and nor did he seek any way to make this right. Despite my expressed anger, I find this odd, since the cost of the battery is maybe $50 for them, and I've likely given them $5000-10,000 in business in the last 8 years. It seemed a simple fix to offer a longtime customer. In sum, you'll probably find they are reasonably priced, and do quick work. But at some point, they will might do something shoddy, and won't take responsibility. Some mechanic shops are what they are I guess, and I will vote with my feet.
I had a flat tire on Road Number 5 and was struggling to find help. The first tire service I visited was unhelpful, leaving me stranded. Then I found Capistrano Tire and Brake on Google Maps. When I called them, they confirmed they had the tire in stock. Despite the short distance, it was challenging to drive there on a flat tire, but I made it. The team was incredibly helpful and took great care of me. Their prices are reasonable, and you can even enjoy a coffee while you wait. Thank you for your excellent service and help, guys. I highly recommend Capistrano Tire and Brake to everyone!
I have been familiar with West Coast Tire in San Juan Capistrano for many years, and I must say, the recent change in ownership has been a positive transformation. The new owner has shown great integrity and a genuine willingness to help those in need. One aspect that has truly impressed me is how he treats his workers. He’s not just the boss; he genuinely cares for his team, many of whom have been with the shop for decades. Guillermo, the alignment expert, has been there for 30 years, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my car's suspension and alignment needs. His expertise is unmatched, and his dedication is evident. I've been extremely happy Using WestCoast Whenever I've had an issue, they've always allowed me to fix it and bring my car back for a thorough check-up. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is unparalleled. Overall, I am very impressed with the new ownership and the continued excellence in service. I Highly recommend Todd with the Double D’s for all your automotive needs! Thank you for the great service! Here's to many more good years! ---
I’ve been 3 or 4 times for tires and I find their prices reasonable and their service wonderful. Today (5:45pm on a Friday) I realized in San Diego I had a low tire; I filled it up and drove home, picked up my son from soccer and I’d already lost 15psi. Worried about leaving the tire overnight I luckily drove by as they were closing. I asked if they could take a look and quickly they found the screw, pulled it and plugged it -staying late on a Friday to take care of me. In addition they gave my son $1 for a drink out of the vending machine; couldn’t be nicer or better service. Highly recommend and will 100% be taking my car for tires and brakes to Capo Brakes and Tires again.
